Frequently Asked Questions
Is psychotherapy confidential?
Yes, everything discussed with your therapist will remain confidential. In very rare cases, the law may require your therapist to disclose information if they learn of the abuse of a child, or of a serious risk of suicide or harm to others. You can discuss the issue of confidentiality with your therapist so they can clarify any concerns.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, our practice is in-network with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts. In addition, we are an eligible out-of-network provider. For more information on this topic, please visit our insurance page.
What is your cancellation policy?
Therapy works best when sessions are attended regularly and consistently, so it is to your benefit to keep appointments as they are scheduled. That said, some situations are unavoidable, and if you need to cancel a session, please contact your therapist as soon as possible. If you are not able to provide 24-hours notice of a cancellation, you will be charged for the session.
Can we meet in person?
