Sarah Mikesell-Johnson, LICSW
Sarah (she/her) studied psychology at Hampshire College and received her Master of Social Work from Westfield State University in 2022. She also completed a postgraduate fellowship with the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis in 2023. Sarah provides psychotherapy to people of all ages from a relational, attachment-based, and psychoanalytic perspective. She has experience working in a variety of settings, including outpatient community mental health, residential addiction treatment, community crisis stabilization programs, sexual and domestic violence agencies, and school settings.
Sarah’s clinical work is rooted in a trauma-informed, social justice perspective. She enjoys collaborating with her patients to explore and make meaning of their stories, uncover and shift patterns that have left them feeling stuck, and identify strategies for coping with difficult experiences. She values the process of journeying alongside her patients as they get to know themselves in a deeper way.
